Digital-first, human-centered: practical law for modern businesses

Why Legally Remote?

A brief introduction to our story and how we help digital businesses mitigate risk and scale with clarity.

A tech attorney sitting on a wooden stool, holding a smartphone, wearing a light blue blazer and jeans, in a room decorated in pink and green, featuring shelves with books and plants.

I began my legal career on a traditional path, but with a modern twist: I studied law in Romania, earned my master’s degree in Switzerland, conducted research in Portugal, and spent two years in Romania’s conventional legal system working on litigation and courtroom cases.

However, I ended up spending more time dealing with bureaucratic red tape than actually solving problems for real people. I looked around at the traditional legal landscape and thought:

I want to practice law in a way that feels modern, clear, and empowering.

So I moved to Lisbon with my partner and joined communities of digital entrepreneurs, remote teams, and founders building modern online businesses. What I saw was consistent: smart people running tech, digital, and e-commerce companies, but struggling to get clear answers on contracts, compliance, and cross-border legal issues because traditional law firms weren’t built for the digital economy.

In 2020, I returned to Romania and founded Legally Remote—a boutique digital law firm designed to meet the needs of modern businesses. Every service is tailored to what digital companies actually need: commercial contracts, GDPR and data protection, e-commerce compliance, IP protection, and cross-border legal strategy—all delivered with clarity, predictable pricing, and a human touch.
